Open House

Good afternoon, Thank you all who replied to the form. As I stated we will be doing the open house on May 30th, the time will be 1100 to 1400. We would like to have as many cadets as possible so we can get some demos going, like drill and ceremony. I ideally would like to have a few different "stations" with senior members to help answer questions. This is of course depending on weather as some would need to be outside. I am hoping this will be beneficial for all of our squadrons. With that said, I would appreciate it if I could please get everyone and anyone who wants to be a part to reply to this email so I can get a count. Effective April 16, 2026, FEMA has restored access to its Independent Study. These courses are typically inaccessible during a lapse in appropriations, but FEMA is facing unprecedented circumstances. Users may now register for and complete these self-guided courses. However, FEMA's staffing and operations are still impacted by the lapse in appropriations. If users experience technical problems, FEMA staff are unable to provide assistance at this time. RIWG CAP - Wright Museum

Good evening Rhode Island Wing cadets and seniors The Rhode Island Wing Cadet Advisory Council is trying to determine how many cadets may be attending the Civil Air Patrol exhibit opening at the Wright Museum of World War II in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, on Saturday, May 16, 2026. At this time, RIWG CAC is collecting interest to see if there are enough cadets attending to help coordinate van transportation. If you believe you may attend, please reply to this email and indicate your level of interest. Please include: Your name Your squadron Whether you are attending, maybe attending, or not attending Whether you would need transportation if a van is arranged This is only to gauge interest at this time and does not guarantee transportation will be provided. Air Force AIM HIGH Program

Good evening RI Wing, Please see the attachment and the message below. This is a great opportunity from the USAF for Cadets who are interested in learning to fly. Our application for the 2026 AHFA program is now open! Applications are due 5 Apr 2026 at 2359 CST. The AIM High Flight Academy program allows interested students to earn up to 15 flight hours at a University this summer. All expenses are paid for during the 3-week program, this is a fantastic opportunity for your students to learn about aviation and a career in the Air Force. Please have your cadets scan the QR code in the flyers and click the first link to apply! We would love it if you could share across your CAP Wing. Good morning, Thank you to those who took the time to fill out the form for the Open House. The date that had the most votes is 30 May. The time will be from 1100-1400, if there is still a large group we can go longer, but I would not want to go passed 1500.
