Subject: [RIWG Members] Cadet Firearms Training
 
Commanders please remind your members of this activity.  So far I have received ZERO responses.

Once again Rhode Island Wing is pleased to announce a Cadet Firearms Training Day on Saturday, Oct 25, at the Smithfield Sportsman’s Club (SSC). SSC is supplying the club house, indoor range, .22 target rifles and personnel for this event.

Please download all 3 attached documents.  The letter provides all of the details for this event. Key highlights are below. Copies of the documents are in RIW Teams | General | CadetFirearms.

To apply for this activity, print the attached forms (CAPF 60-81 and SSC Release) and have them signed by your parents and squadron commander.  Deliver the completed/signed forms (CAP 60-81and SSC Release) to LtCol Bell.  Completed forms may be emailed to  jbell@riwg.cap.gov or hand carried to Wing Hq or West Bay squadron.  Slots will be filled on a first come, first registered basis with the deadline for completed paperwork of Oct 17, 2025. Commanders will be notified weekly of approved applications.

Location: Smithfield Sportsman’s Club (SSC), 14 Walter Carey Rd, Smithfield, RI 

Cost: $6 (optional: certificates and medals, see below and $20 for lunch) payable on day of event. 

Uniform: Cadets Field Uniform; Seniors Field Uniform / Polo Shirt 

Required Forms: CAPF 60-81 and SSC Release  

Application Deadline: Oct 17, (all paperwork signed and turned in)
