Rhode Island Wing team,

Tomorrow marks the beginning of 401 Gives—Rhode Island's annual day of giving—and we have an incredible opportunity to showcase the strength and spirit of our Civil Air Patrol community while raising funds for our cadets and CAP activities.

From the morning of March 31 through 6 PM on April 1, Rhode Islanders will come together to support the nonprofit organizations that make our state stronger, safer, and more resilient. This is our moment to demonstrate the value of CAP RIWG's missions: emergency services, aerospace education, and cadet programs that develop tomorrow's leaders.

Here's how YOU can make a difference:

TODAY - prepare your networks:
  1. Share widely with your personal and professional networks—post on social media, send emails, text/email the link to friends and family with a brief note asking for their support.
  2. Sample social media post: "Mark your calendars for 401Gives on March 31st and April 1st! It's a great way for everyone to support our youth through the Rhode Island Wing of the Civil Air Patrol: https://www.401gives.org/organizations/civilairpatrol-rhodeisland #401Gives"
  3. More sharing tips and sample posts: https://www.401gives.org/info/social-media
  4. Challenge your networks to match your contribution or join the giving movement.
TOMORROW - Donate and Share
Why This Matters:
Our senior and cadet members volunteer countless hours to keep Rhode Island safe and develop tomorrow's leaders. 401Gives allows our community to invest locally in our youth and activities. When you share our page, you're not just asking for support—you're building awareness of CAP's critical role in our state's emergency response infrastructure.

Let's make the Rhode Island Wing's presence felt across the Ocean State. Set a reminder for tomorrow morning, prepare your networks today, and let's show what happens when the CAP community mobilizes together.

Thank you for your service, your dedication, and your willingness to champion our mission in the community.

Subject: [RIWG Members] Heads Up: Get Ready for 401 Gives!

Hi Team,

We are excited to announce that Rhode Island Wing will be participating in 401 Gives, the state’s biggest day of giving, on March 31st and April 1st!
This is a fantastic opportunity for us to raise vital funds to support our missions, programs, and members. While the event is still a few weeks away, we wanted to give you a "heads up" so you can start thinking about how you can help us make a significant impact.
The success of online giving days relies heavily on the strength of our collective networks. We don't need you to make a donation yourself—we need you to help us spread the word!
How you can prepare:
What’s coming next: In the next week, we will provide you with a toolkit of ready-to-use messages and social media posts. You won’t have to write a thing—just copy, paste, and share!
To get you started, here is a preview of how you can support the campaign:
Thank you in advance for your dedication to the Rhode Island Wing. Together, we can make this our most successful 401 Gives yet!
